• Although founded from the vision of our pastor, Pastor James Hall, Jr. --inspired by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ-- TBFCU has remained an individual and independent operation from the church.Instead, the credit union is member-owned and controlled through the election of a Board of Directors drawn also from membership.
  
  
• Membership of the TBFCU is not open to the general public. Membership requires you to be a member of the Triumph Baptist Church or associated with a ministry of the Triumph Baptist Church, you and/or your immediate family member* or the members the same household are eligible to join.
  
  
• TBFCU members are provided with a safe, convenient place to save and borrow at reasonable rates, with savings insured to $100,000, by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).
  
  
• To meet the many financial needs of our members, TBFCU offers a wide variety of affordable products and services. Share accounts, share draft accounts (checking accounts), direct deposit, money orders, special club accounts, financial seminars, personal loans , auto loans,disability insurance for loans and coming soon low-interest rate credit cards. Special youth accounts are also available for youth and young adults up to age 17 years.
  
  
• The fee difference between our credit union and banks is striking and may explain why consumers repeatedly prefer credit unions, in general, better than banks. TBFCU average personal loan rates range between 8.99% - 12% versus 14% (or higher) with banks. Fees for a money order and certified checks are about 55-65% lower at TBFCU than at banks.
